I think that not everybody knows that their computer is having a unique address which it uses to communicate with other computers and electronic devices on the world wide web.When ever you surf the internet your IP address which is also known as internet protocol address is tracked by the server which is exchanging information with you. Some people don`t want their internet surfing activity to be tracked and use various softwares,tools and methods to hide their IP address. Hello everyone. I am here to tell you some facts about the proxy facts. Why they are favourite and what are their facts. We all know there are many proxy scripts around. But I think the best is PHProxy which I am using in my site. But the problem is they are discontinued. So sad. If you are having trouble selecting your proxy scripts then read below.
There are mainly two proxy scripts using around. One is PHProxy and the other is CGIproxy. Well let me describe the advantages of them. Listen and choose carefully. It is great for surfing. It is fast and user friendly. It is massively used because of its great advantages. It loads the pages fast and caches up. It eats up less bandwidths then the others. So this is great if you are planning to target the surfing company in the net.
CGIproxy on the other hand great for logging in. It has a great cookie system with what users can login with their account quickly and fastly as possible. It eats up more bandwidth then PHProxy.
There are a lot of more proxy scripts as I know such as zelune, power proxy. But I these these two are the best. They will look more cool if you embed them with your own templates. If you cant make the templates then you can use free ones available around. Just search proxy templates in Google. Simple.

A proxy is an IP (internet protocol) that you can use while you surf to hide yours. Practically is a server with an internet connection with a configured proxy software usually running on linux. The usual ports for proxy are 80 and 3124-3128 and the most proxies can be found in United States Of America and Russia. You surf the internet through that server. You send requests to it and it gives you back the results (websites, most often).
It is really simple and a PHP or CGI proxy can be installed in 2 minutes. See an example on http://www.proxyloop.com That`s the reason that there are thousands of proxy websites. But that is not a bad think, because there is variety and variety is good.
My recommendation is to start using proxy to protect your anonymity and privacy. I don`t think you want others to know what websites you are surfing. Also proxies are absolutely legal, but only if you use them in legal ways. You should never use a proxy for internet fraud or other illegal or immoral purposes. A proxy could also help you to visit or join a website that your own ip is banned. Or you could visit websites that simply don`t allow your country.
The PHP proxies are web proxy scripts written in php scripting language that are very easy to use. You just have to insert the website`s url in a form and press a button. then you are ready, you are now surfing the desired website using a proxy and having a protected anonymity and privacy. CGI proxy is almost the same as PHP, but is a bit more complex and is written in CGI scripting language. It is a good proxy and helps very much for you to be anonymous.
You can even surf websites without their owners knowing you are using a proxy.
As this is the most easy to use proxy, i recommend to start using it. It has only a few bad sides, first one is that you have a frame sometimes with ads.
There are 3 types of proxy, but only 2 of them differ more:
* Browser proxy
* CGI proxy
* PHP proxy
PHP and CGI proxies are basically the same, only the programming/scripting language differs. There is a form where you insert the link of the website you want to visit and you are ready.
The browser proxy requires you to set some settings in the browser, including adding a proxy address and a port ( e.g 127.0.0.1:80 )

The Internet proxy server is the server that is situated between the client application and an actual server. The Internet proxy server has the role of intercepting every request to the actual server and see if the request can be fulfilled by it. If that is not possible, then it must forward the request to the other server.
If used in an enterprise the Internet proxy server besides the role that it plays in all situations, also have the role of ensuring control and security. This Internet proxy server is linked to a gateway server. This has the role of separating the network of the enterprise from other networks. The Internet proxy server is also associated with a firewall server that is used to protect the network of the enterprise from any intrusions from the outside.
The Internet proxy server receives requests from web pages or any other Internet services from the user. Then if the filtering requirements are passed, the Internet proxy server checks its cache for other downloaded pages( this assuming that the Internet proxy server is a cache server as well ). If the web pages that are required are then found by the Internet proxy server, they are returned to the user. In this case there is no need for the Internet proxy server to forward the request. In case the page can not be found in the cache, then the Internet proxy server must act as a client as thus use its own IP address to request the web page from other servers that are found on the Internet. When the required page is then returned, the Internet proxy server reports it to the initial request and then it is forwarded to the user.
In the users eye, the Internet proxy server seems to be invisible. This is because the request and the response are so quick that the user is under the impression that they are made directly with the Internet server that was addressed. However, this is not the case and the Internet proxy server actually plays a very important part.
There are two main reasons why Internet proxy servers are used. One is to improve the performance and the second to filter the requests. The Internet proxy server can improve the performance for users, because the Internet proxy server actually saves all the requests that the user has made, thus making Internet operations a lot faster. The second reason why Internet proxy servers are used is to filter requests. This operation might be seen in schools or workplaces, where the employees are not allowed to visit certain web sites. This can be very easily done by configuring the Internet proxy server that is used.

What is a proxy server
A Proxy (proxy server) is a server that acts as mediator between the client (the computer of a user) and server (the computer on the other ends of network connection on which the information requested by the user appears for example web server site.) When clients request data from an Internet resource, traffic goes from your web browser/application first through the proxy before it reaches the requested sources and back through the proxy. Then the proxy will transmit the data (information) to you.
Why I need to use a proxy server
1. Transfer speed improvement. If the file you requested was received before to your proxy server, then proxy server will interrupt this file request and you will receive the file directly from proxy. However need to know, you can got the “speed down” effect. This effect appears when your proxy has long answer time because there is slow connection between you and your proxy server.
2. Security and privacy. Anonymous proxies destroys information about your computer in the requests header. So you can safely surf the net and your information will never be used by hackers and spammers.
3. Sometimes you encounter some problems while accessing to web server (for example, web-chat). You have mistaken while working with some data and / or the server administrator restricted access from your IP. So you can use the anonymous proxy and try to access again.

How to configure IE 7.0 to use a proxy server?
1. Open Internet Explorer 7.0.
2. Click on the Tools icon from the upper right of the browser and select Internet Options from the menu.
3. Select the Connections tab and click the button for LAN Settings.
4. Click the radio button for Proxy Server. Type the IP number of the proxy In the Address box, and add the port number of the proxy in the Port box.
5. Click the OK button, then OK again.
6. After setting a proxy server, you need to check if that proxy is working. Type www.google.com in your IE7 address bar and see if google index page is loaded for you.
